Excellent guide for beginner & experienced SEO pros
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This book is loaded with tips and tricks to help you meet your internet marketing goals. I’ve read & used most of the SEO books out there and this one still impressed me with its unique advice.
Extra helpful if you know a little SEO
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
While it does start from scratch assuming you know nothing, I found that this book was the most helpful in filling in the gaps of what I already knew. Super easy to understand and I sat with it open next to me as I went through my site during certain sections.
Review by Holly Crosgrey of Peter Ken’ts SEO for Dummies
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am new at search engine optimization and needed a reference to help me get it right the first time. I bought Peter Kent’s book because he has alot of knowledge on Wordtracker and I wanted to understand that completely. I am very pleased with this book and the many tips and tricks he passes on. The book contained much much more information than I had anticipated it would. Peter gets down to the basics and really explains how things work online. I will be using Peter’s book as a resource for some time to come since it is packed full of information that will take me some time to digest and make use of. I had the opportunity to write Peter Kent. The impression I get of Peter Kent from his book and other resources I have seen is that he is an honest man who wants to let the newbie learn how to do search engine optimization the right way. The book is on its third version and I would suggest to anyone that they buy the latest version of the book rather than an other version since the internet world changes quickly. This would be a recommendation for any book on any type of internet marketing.
very handy!

if you have a website & are running it yourself, you have to get this book, or you’ll be in the lower recesses of the internet world forever. highly recommended.
Well designed for an initial foray into the world of SEO
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The Dummies series are great for helping people make an initial attempt and develop some basic skills needed to succeed. This book is no different.
The content is well organized and walks the reader through the process both conceptually and also with specific examples. I appreciated the reasonable pace and the way the author didn’t assume a wide breadth of previous knowledge on the subject.
If this is your first attempt at SEO, this is a great book to hold your hand.
If you’ve been working on SEO for a while but with limited results, you may be happier getting a book that’s a bit more advanced…
Maybe someone could write a book called Optimizing Search Engine Optimization!

Search Engine Optimization helped a Dummy
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have been blogging for some time. But my blog was only creeping up in popularity. It was an invisible spot in cyberspace. After reading only the first three chapters, I learned how to submit my blog to the Interet so that it would be highly visible. And I learned about keyword rankings, and how to make the best use of these in my title and my writing.
Thanks

Every website owner must buy this book!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought this book to learn what I couldnt afford my web guy to do for me. My website was not generating much traffic and I thought it was a lack of good key words.
Here’s what I learned in the first 3 chapters: By looking at the source code on my site as instructed by the book to do for basic elements I found:
My web pages beyond the home page had no title, description or key words! And more disturbing, my web guys business info was listed in the top area of every page where my page description and key words are supposed to go! I also learned I was not listed in an important directory, which I was able to do myself in 10 minutes.
I am hopping mad at my web guy and looking for a new one! BUY THE BOOK!
Good SEO starter book
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a good book for those new to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The author gives good tips on how to get indexed in Google and other major search indexes and engines. Most importantly, this book details what not to do, so as not to damage the Google PageRank of your Website.
Good, easy to follow manual
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This book offers clear, concise ideas on how to improve your websites search placement. The author shows a few changes to a website that can really help with placement, but there are many other ideas as well that have a tremendous impact. I have spent very little time implementing his ideas, and it moved my website up substantially.
This is a great book on this topic
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Hits spot-on in the Dummies category, given that this topic is lots of common sense and not really much technical complexity at all. Read it cover to cover. What more can I add to that.
Understandable, basic, doable for the novice
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The suggestions given in this book are doable for the SEO novice. Practical applications, plenty of warnings of what NOT to do, and written in a direct, plain and simple style, this book was worth the purchase price.
I had to re-read and “chew” on the technical terms and others not familiar with internet-speak might get lost in all the “foreign” terms.
I would recommend this book for someone who wants to make simple changes to their website to increase SEO.
Good for beginners
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
A bit repeatative at times and a bit dumb not but once, but hey, afterall it’s a book for Dummies
I am still reading the book, and I can say that for someone with very little working and theoretical knowledge of SEO, this is probably the best start you could have.
The world of SEO is huge and you wouldn’t want a book to clutter you with emmense amounts of detailed technicalities because it would probably be overwhelming, so what’s the point?
Read this at ease – there is still an enormous amount of info in this book to get you started and broaden your horizons as far as SEO is concerned.
Good luck!
